We are a member of SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers). SMPTE define many of the video format standard that Omnitek’s products conform to. These products are used throughout the broadcast industry and post production to help program makers do their job.
We are a member of the IABM (International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers). The broadcast television industry is a significant driving force in the development and implementation of vision and video products. Our success in this industry area is due to our continuous involvement in it.
Innovation is at the heart of our business. In 2008, we received the Queens Award for Enterprise: Innovation (Technology) for our Omnitek XR analyser for digital cinema applications. Our Ultra 4K Tool Box was a Finalist for an IABM Design and Innovation Award at IBC 2015 (September 2015). It was also selected as a finalist for the “TV Technology” innovation awards. These awards give testament to our innovative culture as a business, always striving for step change in our next generation of products and services.
In 2018 Omnitek received two Queens Awards in recognition of the innovation of its video distortion and correction technology and for the export achievements of its Consultancy services and video T&M products.
